This Weekend:
Saturday 11/15 6-8PM at 334 Broome, help us receive The Longest Shadow Ever Cast.
Hello divas,
I’ve written about it before, but I currently have work on display in Galway, Ireland, as part of TULCA 2025: Strange lands still bear common ground. Those who know me know Ireland is a really special place for me, and I am so moved to have my first international show be in the west of Ireland. I feel so, so lucky to be part of TULCA 2025, and am so grateful to curator Beulah Ezeugo for seeing my ideas and trusting the vision. If you happen to be in Ireland before the festival ends on November 23rd, please stop by - there is art overflowing all over Galway, and all of it is incredible.

I am so excited to share with you The Longest Shadow Ever Cast, an exhibition at 334 Broome (on the Lower East Side), open from November 14-16. There will be a Reception on Saturday, November 15th, from 6-8PM (RSVP welcome, not required.) Wine will be provided courtesy of Bedell Cellars.
This exhibition is an extension of my participation in TULCA 2025, and expands my exploration of memory, migration, crisis, and decolonization’s correlations with queer liberation. I am SO excited to be joined by some close friends and fierce artists.
Ayanna Legros is a mixed-media artist, painter, photographer, writer, and radio archivist. Ayanna will be present four bottle artworks that layer history, fragility, and futurity.
Melissa Middleberg is a painter born in Brooklyn and raised in New Jersey. Melissa’s deftly rendered paintings of found photographs subvert nostalgia to question mid-century views of the future against the current moment.
Devin Osorio’s work bends time and space to connect Washington Heights with their childhood with the Dominican Republic with queer pasts, presents, and futures. Devin presents a work on canvas and a work on woven palm.
Additionally, I am so blessed to be part of “Human Nature” organized by Earshot! This short exhibition will be open November 14-16, but a very special opening reception is happening on Thursday, November 13th - please join me! You can RSVP for the reception here, and the show’s info is below. Thanks to my friend and studio mate JG Debray for inviting me to show with these amazing people!
I hope to see you at some point this weekend!
Sincerely,
Peter
